(A) 4 pounds Chinese cabbage - cut into bite size

(B) Dissolve 1/2 cup (C) rocksalt in 5 C water

Soak (A) in (B) for 3-4 hours, taste stem of cabbage for salty taste

Wash (A) in water twice and drain water


2 table spoon (T) hot pepper
1 T sugar
1-1/2 T minced garlic
1-1/2 T minced ginger
1/4 C green onion, cut in 1/4 inch length
1 T small salted shrimp
(Modify the above items for your taste after first try)

Mix cabbage with the above ingredients with put in ½ gal. jar

Leave it in room temperature for 12 hours

Store it in refrigerator for keep
